Frequently asked questions
Search everything travellers usually ask — or message us directly if your answer isn't here.
Every tour page has an enquiry form that composes a WhatsApp message (or email) with your date, pickup area, travellers and preferences. Sending it makes a REQUEST, not a confirmed reservation — we reply with confirmation and payment details. Payment secures the booking; the date is not held until then.
As published: we accept cash, mobile money, bank transfers and online payments depending on your location — payment details are shared during booking. Deposit and balance timing is confirmed in writing with your quote before you pay anything, and you should only pay to details on the official confirmation.
As published: cancellations made 24–48 hours before the tour date are eligible for partial or full refunds depending on the tour type — contact us as early as possible for assistance. The full terms we can stand behind are confirmed in writing with your quote; read them before paying and ask us about anything unclear.
Send your new dates on WhatsApp or email. Changes depend on availability and may carry supplier costs, which we always show you before you agree to anything.
The published price tables already reduce the per-person rate as the group grows (each tour page shows its table). For headcounts beyond the published table, or for private group arrangements, send us a group-quote request.
Yes for the tours whose price tables list it: most excursions are priced by pickup area (for example 'Beach hotel' vs 'Stone Town'), and transport is listed among the inclusions. Send your hotel name with your enquiry and we confirm the pickup zone and price.
Snorkeling equipment is included on the snorkel trips. Confidence in water varies by person and trip — tell us who is swimming when you enquire (including children) and we will confirm what the day involves and what safety equipment is provided.
Your guide decides on safety grounds and the boat stays ashore when the sea is unsafe. If a trip cannot run, the handling of your payment follows the terms confirmed with your booking — ask us before booking if you are travelling in the rainy season.
Swimwear, towel, reef-safe sunscreen, hat, a dry bag for phones, and cash for tips or souvenirs. What is provided depends on the tour — water, lunch and equipment are listed per tour on its Included section.
Yes — our published safaris are Zanzibar-based: a fly-in day safari to Mikumi, and multi-day Serengeti/Ngorongoro and Tarangire/Manyara/Ngorongoro itineraries that start and end in Zanzibar with domestic flights and transfers.
No operator can honestly guarantee wildlife sightings — animals are wild. Our routes follow resident prides, herds and seasonal migrations, which is why sightings happen on the vast majority of departures, but no day is promised in advance.
Yes — Tanzanian national parks require your original passport at the gate (photocopies are refused). Bring it on every game-drive day.
Private safari arrangements can be very family-friendly. No child policy is published for our safaris — send us the ages of your travellers and we will confirm current child rates and the itineraries we recommend for families.
Transfers are quoted per route and vehicle on request. Use the quick form on our Transfers page to compose your request — pickup, drop-off, date/time, flight number, passengers and luggage — and send it on WhatsApp or email; we reply with a quote.
Always send your flight number with the enquiry. Airport transfers are scheduled against your arrival time; how delays are handled (including any waiting-time policy) is confirmed with your quote — it is not published, so ask us directly.
As a rule of thumb: 1–3 guests with suitcases → car; families or 5–6 with bags → station wagon or van; 7–10 → coaster van. Give us your passenger and luggage count and we confirm the right vehicle with your quote.
June–October is dry, sunny and peak season across the island and parks. December–February is hot, calm and good for snorkeling. March–May brings the long rains — still workable, quieter and cheaper.
Most nationalities need a tourist visa (available online as an e-visa or on arrival) and proof of yellow-fever vaccination if arriving from an endemic country. Check your government's travel advice — we can share the current Tanzania e-visa link on request.
Yes — send us your dates, interests and group and we reply with a day-by-day proposal that we adjust freely until it fits.
